Courageous Impact

Courageous Impact2

An email from a Principal:

Yesterday T1L1 evidently taught a lesson on courage and it really impacted one of our students. This email was sent to my teachers and is from a family with a 4th grade student who happened to be involved in a car accident last night. Glad to partner with T1L1!!!

An email from the Parent:

Good morning,

I just want to let you all know that the kids were in a car accident with their Dad right at the intersection by the school. The other car ran the stop sign and hit Jeff’s truck pretty hard. Everyone is ok and the kids insist on going to school but they are still pretty shaken up and super tired, it was a late night.

heart-post

I have to share with you that when I arrived at the accident the girls were crying so hard and Dylan was calm, I asked him if he was ok and he said yes Mom I learned about courage at school so I had to try to keep the girls calm.  that melted my heart.

An email from the mentor who leads Dylan’s small group:

Dylan shared during our small group that his family was in a really bad car accident right outside the school last week. He said he and his sisters were really scared but he remembered the lesson we had shared that week was on courage and how courage could help everyone. So he said he thought about what he learned and then acted courageous to help his sisters and dad be calm through the situation. I was most impacted by the Mom sharing with me that he has become such a better person. He is well behaved and really applying the principles everyday, and it’s not only reached him but reached his home, and has made a dramatic change for their entire family’s good.
